Mr. Torsten Steinwachs has more than 30 years of professional experience in restructuring and insolvency administration. His career began as a banking lawyer in risk management at BHF Bank, followed by positions at ING Bank Deutschland AG and later at HERMANN Attorneys-at-Law, Auditors, and Tax Advisors. There, he worked on major high-profile cases including Philipp Holzmann AG, Babcock Borsig, and Walter Bau AG.

In addition to this, he advises banks/ credit insurers and companies on the national and international level in the context of the issue of guarantees and in the event of an assertion of guarantee-related claims.

He is a lecturer in economic private law at the University of Applied Sciences for Economics and Management – FOM – in Frankfurt am Main, and for restructuring and insolvency management at the International School of Management – ISM – in Frankfurt am Main.

Torsten Steinwachs has published on the subject of guarantees in the publications Bankenkommentar zum Insolvenzrecht (3rd ed. 2016) and Rechtssicheres Avalgeschäft (4th ed. 2020) as well as on the subject of loan collateral in Fachanwaltsbuch für Banken- und Kapitalmarktrecht (5th ed. 2019).

Mr. Robin Steinwachs studied commercial law in Frankfurt am Main and Hamburg, specialising in guarantee law and insolvency law. He has also obtained a second qualification as an insurance broker (section 34d of the Industrial Code, GewO). This additional qualification allows him to advise clients comprehensively on insurance-law matters and to develop customised solutions.

In his free time, Robin Steinwachs devotes himself to sporting activities, such as water sports with a CW (coastal waters) licence.

Sandra Zambrana Cortez

Ms. Sandra Zambrana Cortez took on the leadership of a renowned yacht club on Lake Starnberg at a young age. As her career progressed, she opted for a strategic realignment and transitioned into the real estate valuation industry. In this field, she contributed to the preparation of valuation reports for developed and undeveloped land, as well as property-equivalent rights, both domestically and internationally.

Her primary focus was on the appraisal of office properties, retail assets, logistics facilities, hotels, and residential buildings. The expertise she has acquired in real estate, project management, database administration, and administrative processes serves as a solid foundation for her diverse responsibilities in surety management within the real estate and construction sectors.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Sandra Zambrana Cortez is a devoted family person who values spending time with friends. She also has a deep passion for cooking and enjoys immersing herself in nature.

Marisa Dorner

Thanks to her experience in the municipal planning and construction sector, Ms. Marisa Dorner has in-depth expertise from various perspectives in the construction industry. This includes working on land-use planning procedures, environmental and redevelopment law procedures and in the area of publicly subsidized housing construction.

This knowledge is complemented by her work in a construction company, which has given her a practical insight into the processes and requirements of the construction industry.

Today, Marisa Dorner benefits from this diverse background of experience in guarantee management – in particular through her good feel for processes, interrelationships and the special features of the industry.

Outside of her profession, Marisa Dorner is involved in social and future-oriented issues on a voluntary basis.
